Loghome.io, an innovative manufacturer of handcrafted log homes, is seeking a proactive, hands-on individual to fill the role of Robotics Operations and Maintenance Specialist at our wood mill in Temagami.
About Loghome.io: Founded in 2022, Loghome.io combines advanced robotics with traditional craftsmanship to produce high-quality log shells. Our use of precision robotics and premium white pine has positioned us as an emerging leader in the log home industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the operation of our robotics systems, ensuring optimal productivity
- Handle the preparation of logs for processing, including peeling and positioning
- Travel occasionally between our metal shop in North Bay and our wood mill in Temagami
- Operate various machinery in the wood mill in Temagami and metal shop in North Bay, including a mill, lathe, CO2 and Fiber Laser, 3D Printer and plasma cutter
Qualifications: While previous experience in these areas is advantageous, we understand that this is a unique field and are willing to provide training for the right candidate. We encourage individuals with the following (all or some) experiences and skills to apply:
- Familiarity with Fusion360 or similar software
- Comfortable with computer use
- Experience driving a forklift
- Experience working in a shop environment
- Welding experience
- Experience with wood processing
Schedule and Salary: This is a full-time position with standard working hours, which may change as we introduce additional shifts. The starting wage is $22 per hour, with the possibility of a raise and benefit plan after the first three months.
